My family loves Kim Crawford wines.
The Sauvignon Blanc is an unbelievable value for the price. I bought mine at Costco for $12.99, but a month or so ago it was $10.99 with a coupon. I’ve seen it at VONS also but slightly higher priced. We are religious buyers of this wine and as my father in law told me a while back, Sauvignon Blancs from the Marlborough region are reliably good. This one is especially good. According to the Kim Crawford website, their Sauvignon Blanc has received 90+ points from Wine Spectator magazine for the last 7 years. The 2008 vintage is rated 91 while also placing 40th in the Wine Spectator 100. Not bad.
Winemakers Notes:
Colour: Pale green.
Aroma: Lifted aromatics of tropical fruits combined with the traditional nettle and herbaceous aromas of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
Palate: Firm acidity is surrounded by tropical fruits and herbaceous notes with hints of citrus sneaking in. A whopping mouthful of Marlborough.
Cellar: Ready to drink now, however this wine will continue to develop for 2-3 years.
Food Match: Good to drink with anyone at anytime. Ideally suited to asparagus, oysters and summer salads.

Rating:
I’ve definitely brought it to dinner parties and I do keep it on hand for myself. Translation, I don’t let my husband drink it in my absence. It’s a very reliable wine and we love it. It was also served at my sister in law’s wedding.
