This cocoa is so good, it makes a difference in almost any recipe.
This is my last tin, I think I got it in Tokyo, so I was a little bit sentimental about opening it. I have no idea when I’ll be able to get more. I needed it to make the POM Pomegranate Chocolate Cupcakes and it was approaching it’s shelf life so I figured what the heck.
I’ve been to several La Maison du Chocolat stores in Hong Kong, London, Tokyo, and of course Paris. There is one in NYC that I plan to seek out during Blogher which is the only store in the USA. NYC people, let me know if you see the powdered cocoa there as they stopped selling it in some stores, including Hong Kong.
If you ever happen to be near a La Maison du Chocolat store, treat yourself to a truffle. You’ll see what I mean about the quality. The stores that I’ve been to give you a sample (a la See’s candy) when you buy, even it it’s something small. For larger boxes, you can shop online.
