Reuben H. Fleet Science Center’s Kid City reopened this week after a major renovation. La Jolla Girl loved the old Kid City, so we can’t wait to see in person what they’ve done. The photos look amazing. I have a family four pack to giveaway which includes admission to Kid City and the other Reuben H. Fleet exhibits. Here are some details regarding the new Kid City:
- From pinwheels and cranes at the “Power Plant” to air chutes at the “Ball Wall,” kids will be delighted by the multiple moving objects and bright colors they encounter throughout the exhibition.
- At the “Market” they can shop for healthy fruits and vegetables, and learn about the importance of healthy food choices with a hands-on nutrition interactive.
- Adventurous youngsters will enjoy taking a ride on the new “Fire Truck” and grocery delivery vehicle.
- The new “Little Learners Lab” features a magnifying camera on a microscope for up-close exploration.
- The “Infant Area” offers a safe space for infants still in the crawling stage to explore with their parent.

You know I have to enter this because my son just loves RH Fleet. He likes a lot of stuff in Kid City, but I bet he’ll like the vehicles the best. And downstairs? He LOVES the billiard ball machine. I can’t remember what it’s called, but you turn the wheel & watch the balls roll through different paths. It’s really cool.

We’ve only been once, but my kids loved all the hands on stuff (balls, plastic food, etc). Would love to see what they’ve done with it now – especially now that my kids are a bit older and better able to *do* stuff!

My daughter loved playing at the Market in the Kid City and seeing the Dinosaur movie in IMAX. It’s been a while since we’ve gone. I’ll definitely have to take her back to see the new stuff!
my kids like playing with the thing with the beach ball. i forget what they call it. of course they also love IMAX
my kids love the market… we had passes and knowing about the renovation waited to renew. we can’t wait to go check out all the new awesome stuff! I love that they are open 365 days a year! Rueben H Fleet Science Center has something for each one of us to enjoy so truly one of the best annual pass purchases we’ve made.
