I am not surprised that The Grand Del Mar is a Forbes 5 star hotel, three times over. I had the privilege of filming an episode of Mommy To Mommy TV there and I was blown away by so many aspects of the hotel.
Gorgeous Suites
In typical Go To Mom (Kimberly Blaine, pictured above with me, is also the founder of Mommy To Mommy TV) style, I met everyone in a huge suite that was gorgeously decorated with a huge spread of food waiting for me to partake in.

Soon it was time to head out to the horses via the pool and other gorgeous scenery.
Equestrian Center For Guests (And Local Residents)
The Grand Del Mar has an equestrian center! With advance notice, you may schedule a ride through the Los Peñasquitos Canyon or perhaps a pony ride for younger kids. Kimberly rightfully thought that the stables would make a perfect setting for our episode of Mommy to Mommy TV, featuring the SONY NEX and SONY Cyber-shot cameras.
The horses were incredibly patient.

As the sun was setting, I couldn’t think of a better backdrop for a photo shoot or a film. Here is the finished product.
Cyber-Shot and The NEX: Mama Needs a High Tech Camera from Kimberley Blaine on Vimeo.
It was a very fun way to spend an afternoon and I certainly will be back to the hotel for a stay. Thanks also to Drybar Del Mar for our fabulous hair. And, how about those cameras?

What a beautiful setting! We will have to keep in mind for staycation, out of town guests or just having a meal.

It’s so fancy that it almost doesn’t feel like it should be in laid back San Diego. But it’s a welcome addition and a must visit. It also looks very family friendly!
