You can’t tell by the label, but these wines are an unbelievable value for what they are. Basically, Cameron Hughes is a négociant. I‘ve been intrigued by Israeli wines for a while as I have picked up a few at Costco that have been pretty good. I was sent a bottle of Gilgal Chardonnay and a bottle of Gilgal Cabernet Sauvignon to try, so obviously, I did. Gilgal wines are produced and bottled by the Golan Heights Winery, Israel’s most prestigious winery.
