A Message For Both Teen And Adult Drivers (Video)

Teens Texting While Driving (Video)

I am not the mother of a teen, but I have definitely received texts while driving. If you’re having trouble communicating to your teen (or frankly, anyone) why they should never, ever read or send a text while driving, have a look at this video. It’s heartbreaking.

Studies show that a texting driver is 23 times more likely to get into an accident than a non-texting driver. The national Stop Texts, Stop Wrecks website has more compelling data and tips to stop texting and driving.

AT&T has an app called DriveMode that responds like an out of office email notification. It will tell text senders that the recipient is unable to respond because he or she is driving. Check your mobile service provider to see if you can download a similar application. It may just save your life or someone else’s.
