LEGOLAND California Hotel Is Opening Earlier Than Planned
Here’s the latest information I just received via a press release:
The three-story, 250-room Hotel immerses guests in the creative world of LEGO® as it is designed to bring children’s imaginations to life. There are approximately 3,422 LEGO models in the entire Hotel created out of more than three million LEGO bricks. Model Builders have just installed the iconic LEGO® dragon model which will breathe smoke as guests enter. Construction crews are working rain or shine getting the hotel ready for its early opening and have crowned the clock tower at the entrance. A LEGO knight, pirate and adventurer have also been unveiled representing the three themed room choices. Guests can also choose between themed or premium themed rooms – premium themed rooms have additional LEGO models and décor such as themed wall paper.
Each room includes two separate sleeping areas, one for grown-ups and one for up to three children complete with a bunk bed, pull-out trundle bed and their own TV. Every room includes a treasure chest younger guests can unlock once they complete a special treasure hunt activity finding clues throughout their room. LEGOLAND® Hotel is designed to give guests the interactive family experience that has brought success to LEGOLAND® California, SEA LIFE™ Aquarium and LEGOLAND® Water Park. The LEGO themed hotel will feature brightly colored, interactive LEGO décor, a family pool and lounge area, patio, event space, buffet restaurant, LEGO models and interactive features throughout. LEGOLAND Hotel will be the first of its kind in North America and is designed for families between the ages of 2 and 12 featuring rooms and suites themed after the most popular LEGOLAND areas: Pirate, Kingdom and Adventure.
This video gives you a feel for what’s happening at the hotel right now. Some of the LEGO animals are pretty cool.
What an amazing gift for the LEGO enthusiast in your life, right? Cheers to April 3, 2013!
