Why Go: Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch is set within the beautiful Texas Hill Country in San Antonio. There are 39 acres of grounds and beautiful scenery that include nature trails to explore. There is something for everyone with both indoor and outdoor pools, waterslides, a lazy river, and cabanas.

Why Go: San Antonio, Texas, is known as hill country. JW Marriott Hill Country Resort & Spa is not as close to SeaWorld as some of the others on this list, but it’s a destination on its own. The hotel is situated on 600 acres of oak-covered hills.

So if you’re wanting a more private couple’s retreat, it’s wise to keep this in mind when you’re booking your trip.

Before booking your hotel and buying your tickets, be sure to consider the time of year you’d like to visit. Summer can be very hot and more crowded. Visiting San Antonio between the months of November and April is the preferred time to go if you can make it work with your schedule.
