You may remember a prior post about the benefits of travel scooters for kids. I stand by the advice because I forgot to pack the scooter on our summer trip to Paris and was upset with myself. The City of Lights involves a lot of walking. In fact, we walked from the Louvre to Ile de la Cite. It took 20 minutes and my daughter was not into it. Had we brought the scooter, the walk would have been a piece of cake.
In honor of Halloween, the folks at Micro Kickboard are giving one La Jolla Mom reader an orange Micro Maxi scooter ($129.99 value). It is the highest rated scooter for kids ages 5 – 12. Kids use their weight along with the handlebar to steer the scooter.
By popping out the handlebar, it fits nicely into a suitcase or even my big handbag. We love it and your kids will, too.

Micro Maxi features:
- Ages 5 – 12
- Removable handlebar
- Weight capacity is 110 lbs
- Weight of scooter is 5.5 lbs
- Three-wheel construction
