Best Hotels Near Disneyland Resort

Hotels that meet quality guidelines and hold up to Disney standards are called Good Neighbor Hotels. Most are affordable and convenient alternatives to staying at the pricier Disneyland Resort Hotels.

Currently, 52 Good Neighbor Hotels provide guests with easy access to Disneyland Resort. Eleven of these hotels near Disneyland are located just across the street from the theme parks.

If you’re going to choose a Good Neighbor Hotel, be aware that bundling tickets with the hotel in a package may provide extra savings. Many of these popular hotels near Disneyland offer packaged promotions. Keep in mind that full payment at the time of booking is typical for many packages.

Good Neighbor Hotels may also offer value-added amenities. These can include complimentary parking, transportation to the parks, and free Wi-Fi. Kids under the age of 9 eat free for breakfast lunch and dinner at the Clarion Hotel when accompanied by a paying adult, for example. Cast members staff a full-service Disney desk on-site at the Sheraton Park. You can see the nightly fireworks show from Park Vue Inn’s patio. Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance offers an awesome pool with a water park and is just 5 minutes from the parks. And, the list goes on.

You may save more by identifying a Good Neighbor Hotel that you like and then looking at Authorized Disneyland Ticket Sellers to see what packages they are offering, which may be even less than the same bundle booked through Disney.

One of the benefits of staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel is early admission to the parks. However, remember that Disneyland tickets of three days or longer include one Magic Morning admission. If you stay off-site, you can still enter early on at least one day.

Hotels Across the Street From Disneyland

To add even more value to an affordable stay, many Good Neighbor Hotels are located just across the street from Disneyland Resort. When you are looking for convenience, try staying on Harbor North of Katella and South of Clementine, as close to Disney Way as possible.

Of the eleven Good Neighbor Hotels that are right across the street from Disneyland, eight are classified as moderate hotels. One, Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance is considered a deluxe category hotel. For suites, you have two options on the list: Homewood Suites by Hilton Anaheim Resort Convention Center and Springhill Suites by Anaheim Resort Convention Center. These are located on Katella, just a little further to walk, as they are behind Disney’s California Adventure Park.

Hotels Near Disneyland (Without Crossing the Street)

The two good neighbor hotels that do not require you to cross Harbor Blvd. are Desert Palms Hotel and Suites and the highly rated Candy Cane Inn which find themselves nestled up against the corner of Disney property, right behind Disney California Adventure Park.

Crossing Harbour Blvd. or Katella Ave. isn’t a big deal at traffic signals with crosswalks. Both are busy streets, however.

Although many of the hotels near Disneyland are Good Neighbor Hotels, not all of them are. Make sure you verify that a hotel is on the list before booking as many of these hotels may seem alike at first glance.

Major Hotel Brands Near Disneyland

There are quite a few hotel chains that have a variety of sites near the Disneyland Resort. These are all Good Neighbor Hotels, but they are not all within one mile of the parks. Some are just south of the resort across Katella, while others are further down the road.

For reference, consider indicators of hotel location like Maingate, Convention Center and Garden Grove when determining how close these hotels are to the resort.

All of these hotels near Disneyland offer transportation to the resort, however, and all but one (Anaheim Majestic, which is over a half-mile away) charge a fee for it. I recommend confirming the location, price, and checking transportation fees before booking. Some of the bigger brand-name hotels are over a mile from the parks but keep in mind that there are more things to do in Anaheim with kids outside of Disneyland.

Two smaller Good Neighbor Hotels just south of Katella are the deluxe Red Lion Hotel east of Harbor Blvd. and the moderate Portofino just across the street from it on the west side of Harbor.

If you are looking for Portofino on Google Maps you will need to zoom in close, because the small hotel gets swallowed up by the size of the Sheraton next door.

Up to a Mile Away

There is value to be had even further away from the parks. The Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel is a Tudor style budget hotel on the north side of Ball Road and just south of I-5. Transportation to the parks is complimentary. Clementine Hotel and Suites is on Disney Way, popular with larger families, just a block east of Harbor Blvd., and right across the street from Anaheim Garden Walk. Staybridge Suites on Ball and Disneyland Drive is about 10-15 minutes from the parks.
