In August, our stay at the US Grant Hotel coincided with a Neiman Marcus Fall Trends preview over waffle brunch at the Grant Grill. Frankly, with temperatures in the 80s and 90s in La Jolla, it’s been a bit tough to dust off the boots and rotate in sweaters. Though as the heat subsides and the shopping bug kicks in, here are the fall trends to add in to your wardrobe. Multiple trends were perfectly blended into each look.
Red Is The New Neutral
Gear up the holidays a little early by adding red. The contrast with the leopard handbag by Gucci is stunning.
Go small for a big impact. Color is also in with the scaled-down handbags. My favorites are the Balenciaga Classic Mini City Bags (in pink, below) or the Prada Mini Saffiano Totes.
Aren’t you glad you saved all of those pointed pumps? From boots to flats, this season means is on point. And, you can custom make your own Manolo Blahniks exclusively at Neiman Marcus. Choose a classic BB pump in 20 colors and 5 heel heights. Stay tuned as I’m going to do it!
Animal Magnetism (Right, Below)
Leopard, zebra, cheetah–it’s all good.
Violet Femme (Left, Above)
Purple is also in. It can be any shade, even lavender. I loved the leather jacket above by RED Valentino.
The necklaces were big, bold and full of color. The stones are all gem-cut, hence the multifaceted angle.
Day or night, black lace is in and pairs well with rocker booties and leather biker jackets.
Think biker jackets, studded booties and even spiky Christian Louboutins.
Add a little bit of tomboy with smoking slippers, loafers, motorcycle boots, cargo pants and more.
My 6-year-old’s current career of choice is fashion designer so since she was spending the night at the US Grant with me, Neiman Marcus kindly invited her to preview the collection as well. Her pick? Violet Femme.
