I take hundreds, sometimes thousands, of photos per trip. I get so focused on using them for various online projects that I forget to print and display them at home. With the holidays on the horizon—including hosting Thanksgiving—it’s definitely time to spruce up bare walls and a few side tables with pictures.

Sorting through photos to choose for canvas and decor products by Snapfish proved easier than I thought. I tend to edit and post my best photos on Instagram, so chose several that I’d already posted and had stored on my computer in high enough resolution to print large sizes. Photos can actually be uploaded directly from Instagram, too, for projects where smaller photo sizes are needed. (Photos can also be uploaded from Flickr and Facebook.)

This is a DIY project in the sense that you choose the photos and how you’d like to display them. But Snapfish prints, assembles and provides the simple hardware necessary for wall hangings. All you need to do is place the order, open the package when it arrives and place the decor in its intended spot.

Instagram Photos Printed on Canvas

My daughter, however, had a different vision that I was happy to indulge. Tired of princess posters and school work scattered across her walls, since asked if we could print Instagram photos from the account that she manages on behalf of our rescued pitbull, Scooby.

It was tough to choose a style actually because it could have been a framed canvas, acrylic print, wood print, gigantic poster or a number of other options. For her walls, we chose unframed canvas prints.

I nearly fell over laughing when I opened the box and found this gem.

Turn Instagram photos into canvases to hang on the wall by uploading them to Snapfish.

Even she recognized that the canvas looks so professionally-done because the photo wraps around the edges and the print quality is excellent. She also chose a larger rectangular canvas because the two photos together fit perfectly side-by-side on her wall.

Instagram Photos Framed in Multiple Shapes and Sizes

Just because an Instagram photo is square, doesn’t mean you have to print it as a square.

Snapfish allows users to select which part of the photo to print and will indicate if the resolution is insufficient. I needed a few in plain black frames to place on a corner table.

This entire room has vintage luggage tags and other photos in similar black frames and I love how well the entire space jives together.

I chose a rare family photo on our private Seine cruise in Paris, my daughter, and dog underneath La Jolla’s Scripps Pier and a funny-to-me photo of our recent flight in Cathay Pacific first class.

Home decor products also include blankets and pillows that can include multiple backgrounds, embellishments and designs to choose from. I think a blanket with multiple Instagram photos from a trip or season would also be a neat idea.

Snapfish makes it easy to turn Instagram photos into framed prints, canvas prints, blankets, pillows and other cool home decor.

  1. I would love to have the Premium Berber Fleece Blanket. I would have a picture of my girls and our dog Bella put on it. Thank you!

  2. My Nana passed away 2 weeks ago today. If I won I’d love to get a canvas print or a wood panel for the wall of her.
