In partnership with Silk Therapeutics. Skincare can be a struggle for people with sensitive skin like me. I’ve finally settled into a routine that I like using natural products to complement care from my dermatologist.
The health and wellbeing of our customers drives everything we do. We believe that every woman is beautiful and deserves clean, pure products to enhance and protect her skin.
Silk therapeautics
I’ve already told you about Silk Therapeutics Eye Revive, which I am still happily using (very much enjoying its non-greasy feel, and it made the gobs of eye makeup I wore on TV the other day stay on better). Still, I wanted to give their Nurture++ Intense a bit longer of a go as it dawned on me recently that I should use it over my Retin A. So, that’s what I’ve been doing over the last several weeks.
A Perfect Solution for Retin A Users
Prescriptions from my dermatologist do what they’re supposed to but a side-effect dry, sometimes peeling skin. I have to start and stop Retin A occasionally because of traveling to sunny destinations, which means my skin goes through that awkward adjustment phase (you need to give Retin A several weeks of use before acclimating, to put it simply) more often than is normal.
And, it was recommended that I layer a moisturizer over my Retin A at night to mitigate skin dryness. I hadn’t been doing this because the ones I’ve tried, which work great during the day, left me feeling greasy and uncomfortable. So, I figured I’d try Nurture++ Intense since it absorbs into my skin so well during the day.
I’m thrilled to report that it’s fantastic. I’m sure its the silk technology that allows it to penetrate so well versus leaving me with a layer of shininess. I also look more refreshed when I wake up in the morning than before.
Only Eight Pure Ingredients

I love the fact that Silk Therapeutics products have minimal ingredients that I actually recognize… no junk!
Nurture++ Intense has:
- Water
- Shea butter
- Coconut oil
- Sodium hyaluronate
- Silk
- Vitamin E
- Sodium anisate
- Aspen bark extract
The intense hydration part comes from shea butter and coconut oil. Sodium hyaluronate is highly praised in many articles I’ve read for its ability to boost skin cell growth. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that helps boost collagen and reduce inflammation. The latter two, sodium anisate and aspen bark extract, are gentle preservatives.
The silk is really the star, as you might imagine, for its ability to penetrate deep into the skin to stimulate anti-aging at a molecular level. You can learn more in my post about the benefits of silk skincare.
How to Use Nurture++ Intense
Basically, you do what I described above. Apply your normal skincare routine and use Silk Therapeutics Nurture Intense on face, neck and deÌcolletage. I put it on after I use the Eye Revive, too.
The Nurture line has a matte hydration and a balanced hydration option if intense hydration might be too heavy. To decide which products are right for you, their Skincare Assistant will help you decide.
Good for All Skin Types

It’s important to note that Silk Therapeutics is so gentle that it is appropriate for all skin types and so pure that even chemotherapy patients can use it.
A .5 oz bottle is $45 and a 1.7 oz bottle is $95.
Good luck! You’ll definitely want to check out Silk Therapeutics full line of products to see which may work for you!
