One of the most frequently-asked questions landing in my inbox these days is whether I’ve heard certain San Diego attractions will or will not be open in the coming weeks. My intention is to keep this post updated with the latest information as it rolls into my inbox.

We are living in a rapidly-changing environment so it is prudent to check with the attractions before you go. The San Diego Tourism Authority is also maintaining an always up-to-date page about travel to San Diego that I recommend bookmarking and checking frequently.

San Diego Zoo: Closing March 16

As members, we received an email from San Diego Zoo Global’s President/CEO, Paul A. Baribault that said, San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari Park will close on March 16. You can read the letter in its entirety.

San Diego Zoo Global is a nonprofit organization so money spent in either park does directly to the care of the animals and staff in addition to their important conservation initiatives (of which there are many).

They will be open this weekend on March 14 and 15. If you are comfortable going, remember to use promo code lajollamom to save $6 on 1-Day adult and child tickets at aRes Travel.

San Diego Zoo Safari Park: Closing March 16

As mentioned above, the San Diego Zoo Safari Park will close on March 16 and reopen on April 1.

If you are comfortable going, remember to use promo code lajollamom to save $6 on 1-Day adult and child tickets at aRes Travel.
