The December issue of San Diego Magazine features three ways to throw a dazzling party, just in time for the holiday season. Here is an exclusive sneak peek of one stunning tablescape–a storybook holiday soirée perfect for a kid-friendly, family gathering.
Decor includes woodland fairies, floral crowns and snowflakes made from old book pages. Combined, they create a dreamy setting, based on a beloved children’s tale called The Snow Queen, which is the literary inspiration for Disney’s Frozen. Elsa and Anna would love this.
Kids can very easily get involved with this decor. Included in the issue is the tutorial for the make-your-own woodland fairies and make-your-own floral crowns with baby’s breath or eucalyptus.
Keeping with the winter theme, the food served was winter white including handmade ravioli in a truffle cream sauce, cauliflower florets with cheese sauce, three-cheese white pizza with mushrooms, and gnocchi with Gorgonzola. The kids drank milk garnished with nutmeg and cinnamon.
