Review and Giveaway: Silk Therapeutics Purely Radiant Daily Serum

BY La Jolla Mom

When you decide to banzai over to Seoul for a long weekend, skincare to prevent jet lag is of the utmost importance especially when landing in culture renowned for flawless skin.

Trips like these put products to the test and the new Purely Radiant by Silk Therapeutics passed. Why? I didn’t have the usual dry, peeling skin as is common after long haul flights. (I also exfoliated during my first few nights with Silk Therapeutics Renewing Peel.)

It’s also worth knowing that the December weather in Seoul was cold, dry and windy at times… conditions most skin types would probably have a tough time with normally. Thankfully, I skated through my stay with no signs of wear and tear and returned home in the same condition I was in when I left.

I am still amazed that safe and pure ingredients can deliver results like this.

Purely Radiant’s Nine Ingredients

The main active ingredients are Vitamin B5 to moisturize and protect skin, hyaluronic acid to lock in the moisture and silk to transform the appearance of skin as you can see in various before and after photos.

All of this can be achieved with this pure and safe ingredient list:

 • Water
 • Sunflower Oil
 • Glycerin
 • Rosehip Oil
 • Sodium Hyaluronate (HA)
 • DL-Panthenol (Vitamin B5)
 • Silk
 • Glyceryl Caprylate (a natural thickener)
 • Aspen Bark Extract (a natural preservative)
With our ground breaking process, Silk Therapeutics scientists isolate fibroin, the silk protein, and transform it into a liquid that can sink deep into your skin. Pure silk protein works harmoniously with other proteins found in skin to smooth, tighten and protect – gently and powerfully.
If you are new to Silk Therapeutics, it is worth mentioning that their ingredient list is so safe that even oncology patients can use it. In fact, they provide Silk Therapeutics skincare to oncology patients with every purchase.

How to Use Purely Radiant

Purely Radiant is a daily hydrating serum that can be used as an alternative to a moisturizer or under one if you have dry skin. It takes only about a few drops so the bottle will last a while.

As someone with combination skin, I use it as a moisturizer. What little foundation I dab on top glides on smoothly.

I also use Silk Therapeutics Eye Revive and have noticed that the bags under my eyes have diminished.

Benefits of Silk-Based Skincare

Silk Therapeutics Purely Radiant moisturizer is for daily use. It has 9 pure, essential ingredients and nothing else.

In a nutshell, silk is extremely compatible with skin and an incredibly powerful anti-aging tool. Scientists isolate the allergen-free portion of the silk fiber and transform it into a silk liquid that is able to penetrate deep into the skin to stimulate collagen and provide renewal from within.

You can read more about silk technology but the bottom line is that it’s natural, it works, and is appropriate for all skin types.

How to Buy Silk Therapeutics

Purely Radiant retails for $85 but act now because Silk Therapeutics is currently offering free shipping with a purchase of over $30 and a complimentary sample included with the purchase of any full-sized product.
