Like Christmas and Hannukah, Valentine’s Day is one of those gift-giving occasions that has people running into Tiffany & Co. with a deer-in-headlights look or an iPhone photo, likely provided by the gift recipient.
In case you or your partner needs some inspiration, these three pieces are perfect for Valentine’s Day!
Tiffany RUBEDO™ Metal
Have you seen it yet? It’s stunning and was developed by Tiffany & Co. in celebration of their 175th birthday.
“Metallurgists experimented with different alloys over a long testing period until they achieved the desired color, radiant with the glow of “first light” that awakens a sense of wonder and ennobles the spirit.” – Tiffany & Co.
The rose tint flatters a number of skin tones and is extremely lightweight. I do not normally gravitate toward gold, but this I love. Several pieces are on my bucket list including the Tiffany Enchant™ pendant in RUBEDO™ metal. I also like this pendant in sterling silver. Also recommended as a gift idea are the Tiffany Enchant™ earrings in RUBEDO™ metal.
Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Collection
When only the best will do, lean on Tiffany & Co. gemologists to source the very best gems from around the world in order to create truly exquisite pieces. The bangle above features an oval Morganite set in diamonds and platinum.
Tiffany & Co. Atlas Collection
Remember that the Tiffany & Co. Atlas Collection has a new sleek, modern look (click link for more photos and details). I am eyeing the Atlas® narrow bangle in sterling silver, medium ($525) because I saw someone wear it with a Hermes bangle the other day and it looked amazing.
A Personal Note
I was that crazy person who ran into the Westfield UTC Tiffany & Co. store on the hunt for a suitable necklace to wear on TV. Horrible with accessories, pressed for time and with a hungry 6-year-old in tow, I asked a sales associate Marlies for help. Basically, I took several pieces home and returned the ones that didn’t work for a full refund. Yes, you can have that kind of flexibility at Tiffany & Co., so don’t be afraid to take a gamble. I warn you that you’ll be tempted to keep all pieces, however.
I kept the Tiffany Beads graduated necklace in sterling silver after feeling pretty skeptical about it at the store. Marlies told me it is the silver equivalent of pearls and I will be surprised by how often I’ll wear it. Truer words have never been spoken. I wear it all the time, now. I’m angling for the same necklace in onyx.
Remember the most popular Tiffany & Co. holiday gift ideas from our local stores? These apply to Valentine’s Day too. Have a look.
