Spring break provides many American households the perfect opportunity to spend time away from home together, exploring everything from relaxing sun-drenched destinations, to visiting cultural and artistic hubs. From domestic road trips to flying across country borders, many families choose to take advantage of the valuable time off to expose themselves to new cultures, specialty cuisines, indulge in shopping and relaxation, and much more.
As someone who specializes in luxury and family travel, and as an expert and resident of one of these spring break hot-spots in particular (San Diego), I was curious to learn more about which family spring break destinations resonate most with Americans. So, I decided to perform a bit of research on my own, and analyzed a full year of search data to uncover spring break travel habits and trends. Check out the map to see which family spring break destination is each state’s favorite – the results may surprise you!
