What’s Trending Now in Pet Products and Food
Petcurean shares what they saw at the pet industry's largest trade show.
From the moment he entered our home, we’ve given our rescued pitbull, Scooby, the very best of everything. Maybe it’s because signs indicate trauma in his former life. Or, perhaps it’s due to the fact that he’s so incredibly loving. Either way, I always have my eye out for products that enhance his wellbeing and provide convenience for us.
This is just part of the reason why I’m excited to announce a new partnership with Petcurean, a premium quality and family-owned pet food company based out of Canada. Through Petcurean, I’ll have access to expert veterinary and pet nutrition advice as well as the latest trends.
Speaking of the latter, Petcurean recently attended the industry’s largest trade show, SuperZoo, where the latest toys, treats and helpful gear were on display. Here are some of the highlights.
Innovative Pet Products
A Cot for Warm Days
Fall is still quite warm here in San Diego. Petcurean thought the cool air cot, is a great solution for fur kids that need a little air flow on hot days.
Yes, thanks to ingenuity, it’s possible to both see and talk to your dog while you’re away! If this doggy cam isn’t already on your radar, the time is now. My dog is having TPLO surgery for a torn ACL this week so I’m considering this cam to keep an eye on him during recovery. Poor guy! Stay tuned as we chronicle the journey as this can happen to any dog at any age.
Help for Blind Dogs
This halo for blind dogs took a top award from the show. It helps keep them from running into things with a twist of fun.
Big Brands Make a Move Into Pet Aisles
ECOS, makers of a laundry detergent use at home, has launched a line of plant-derived pet cleaning products that are safer for pets, as well as the planet.
Petcurean even saw dog waste bags from Glad!
Humanization of Pet Food
I am of the mind that if I wouldn’t eat it, why should my dog? I want him to eat food with high quality ingredients without filler, preservatives and anything that’s unnecessary. It turns out that I’m not alone.
All over the show floor, new products touted everything from clean supply chain to natural ingredients. Petcurean led the pack with the introduction of GATHER, a new category of pet food crafted from certified, organic, non-GMO and sustainably produced ingredients. GATHER includes a sustainably fished and MSC certified cod recipe, a certified organic chicken recipe, and a certified vegan recipe. These recipes are all perfectly blended and balanced to provide dogs and cats with premium quality, natural nutrition that is free from rendered ingredients. GATHER will be available later this year.
