Figure out where the value is for you. Determine what is most important to you and your family when planning your trip, as this will help manage expectations and control spending.
Buy discounted tickets. Single-day tickets are generally the most expensive option, but multi-day tickets offer per-day savings. You can find a Disneyland tickets discount through authorized sellers that are straight-to-the-gate tickets. We partner with San Diego-based aRes Travel to provide these ticket savings to readers.
Skip the Park Hopper. While Park Hopper tickets allow you to visit both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure on the same day, 1-Park Per Day tickets can often be a more cost-effective option and still allow you to spend a full day at either park.
Go when kids are free or can use child tickets. Children under 2 years old qualify for free tickets, while children ages 3-9 qualify for discounted child tickets.
Pay attention to seasonal ticket price hikes. Prices for tickets and annual passes may increase at the start of a new calendar year, but authorized sellers may offer tickets at prior-year pricing for a limited time.
Look for value dates. The Disneyland ticket calendar offers "value dates" or Tier 1 tickets, which are the least expensive option and may also correspond with lower projected crowds.
