The long-awaited renovation at Westfield UTC is finally nearing completion. Locals are thrilled by new additions including J. Crew, Splendid (more on their December 1 Grand Opening to come), Tiffany & Co. and more. The mall’s Grand Opening events start tomorrow and there’s lots of news to share from contests to concerts.
A Life-Sized Pinterest Board With Equally Huge Prizes
Have you seen the life-sized (first of its kind) Pinterest board at Westfield UTC? To celebrate the mall’s $180 million renovation, each participating retailer will have physical products from their store featured in gallery-like pins. Fans can create their own “Escape Everyday” board on Pinterest for an opportunity to win all the items featured on the Westfield UTC life-sized board!
In December, one randomly-selected customer will win over $5,000 dollars in prizes including a $500 J.Crew gift card with a personal shopper, an ArcLight private screening for 20 people with refreshments, a Seasons 52 Chef’s Table for 8 with wine pairings, and much more.

Westfield UTC Holiday Happenings
Westfield UTC is kicking off the season for shopping with their Holiday Escape – Carols by Candlelight on Saturday, November 17. The evening will be headlined by American Idol star and new Glee cast member Jessica Sanchez with an exclusive performance followed by a tree lighting ceremony with Santa himself.
The festivities will be hosted by KHTS-FM Channel 93.3′s Geena The Latina and includes performances by San Diego Civic Youth Choir and Youth Ballet, as well as The Body Poets, as seen on America’s Got Talent.
Photos with Santa Claus will be available immediately following the tree lighting ceremony and include an early holiday gift of 2 tickets to either The Birch Aquarium at Scripps or The San Diego Botanic Gardens with select purchase.

I’m glad they added the stores that they did, actually. It almost seemed like they had me in mind when they did it between Splendid and J. Crew!
