Four Seasons Preferred Partner Explained: Benefits, How It Works & FAQs

I'll share why the Four Seasons Preferred Partner program is the best way to book your Four Seasons stays and how you can access it at no additional cost.

Breakfast at Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris

Having lived in a Four Seasons hotel, I understand the brand at a level most advisors can’t.

Like many of you, I also have access to American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts, Chase’s The Edit, Founderscard, and other premium travel programs. I’ve used them all, but none deliver the same consistency, recognition, personalization, and VIP status as the Four Seasons Preferred Partner program.

I book both my own travel and my clients’ stays through Four Seasons Preferred Partner over any other program. The benefits are the same through any Preferred Partner advisor. How your stay is looked after is not, and that is the difference this page is about.

I lived at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong for about four years. I’ve written for Four Seasons Magazine, and I’ve stayed at and reviewed Four Seasons properties across four continents. I know many of the on-property teams by name.

The definition

What Is the Four Seasons Preferred Partner Program?

Four Seasons Preferred Partner (FSPP) is an invitation-only program that gives select luxury travel advisors access to exclusive benefits for their clients. The rate is the same as booking Four Seasons directly, and there is no fee to book through an advisor.

These privileges aren’t publicly promoted and are designed to make an exceptional stay even more memorable, especially at the luxury level, where every detail matters.

Reservations booked through a Preferred Partner advisor are still handled directly by Four Seasons, but with an added layer of recognition and service that comes from my advisor relationship with each property.

What’s included

What Are the Benefits of Booking Four Seasons Through a Preferred Partner?

While the exact privileges vary by property, Preferred Partner reservations are recognized with a tailored set of elevated touches not available through public booking channels. These may include:

  • Daily breakfast for two guests per bedroom
  • A hotel or resort credit to use during your stay (amount varies by property and room type)
  • Enhanced room placement or upgrade when available
  • Flexible check-in and check-out when possible
  • Access to select offers available only through Preferred Partner advisors

Preferred Partner bookings are also prioritized within the Four Seasons system and receive added attention from on-property teams. In practice, this means your preferences are flagged, your celebrations are noted, and your stay is prepared with extra care.

Behind the scenes

A Personal Perspective on Being a Preferred Partner Advisor

My daughter’s first home was a Four Seasons. She was born in Hong Kong, and I brought her home in a Four Seasons car, with a Four Seasons driver, to our Four Seasons apartment. The people there helped me care for her through her earliest years. I was 7,500 miles from home with no family nearby, and they became mine.

Long before I became a travel advisor, I wrote for the Four Seasons family and food blogs. That work gave me a window into the brand that most guests, and even most advisors, never get. I interviewed their chefs and spent time in their working kitchens. I talked with the people who plan the children’s programs and the holiday celebrations at properties across the portfolio, and many of those resorts were familiar long before I first walked through their doors. I saw the choreography behind service that feels effortless. I know what a good hotel stay should be like because I lived it, worked it, and I judge every stay against my personal Four Seasons experience.

I’ve experienced Four Seasons both as a long-term guest and now as a Preferred Partner advisor. Many of you already know the brand’s legendary service. What you may not see is what happens behind the scenes when you book through Preferred Partner.

The benefits are the same through any Preferred Partner advisor. How your stay is looked after is not, and that is the difference you are choosing.

Here’s what sets it apart:

  • VIP recognition: Your reservation is flagged in the Four Seasons system and sent directly to my on-property Preferred Partner contacts.
  • Human advocacy: These are not just notes in a booking file. I communicate with people I know, and they plan around your requests.
  • Proactive care: From anniversaries to connecting rooms, your details are handled before you arrive, not at check-in.
  • Seamless support: You can still use the Four Seasons app, but you don’t need to wonder if anyone is paying attention. The property already knows who you are.
  • Trust built over time: I’ve developed long-standing relationships with these teams, which means faster responses and thoughtful touches.
  • Rare issues resolved quickly: On the rare occasion something comes up, it’s addressed swiftly, often before you even realize there was a hiccup.

This isn’t a transactional process. It’s relationship-driven. I trust my clients are looked after as if I were checking in myself.

More ways to travel

Beyond Hotels: Yachts, Private Jet & Private Retreats

Four Seasons Yachts

Four Seasons now sails. Four Seasons I, the brand’s first purpose-built yacht, began cruising in 2026 with 95 suites and itineraries across the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Bahamas. Depending on the sailing, Preferred Partner benefits can apply, and they can be excellent.

Four Seasons Private Jet

A guided, all-inclusive journey around the world aboard a custom Four Seasons Private Jet. The program has run for over a decade, with new itineraries planned through 2028. Because it’s all-inclusive, there aren’t separate Preferred Partner amenities to add, but I can still help you plan it.

Four Seasons Private Retreats

Four Seasons-serviced private villas, homes, and residences at resort destinations worldwide: a private residence with full resort access and Four Seasons service. Preferred Partner benefits apply here too.

Four Seasons Preferred Partner FAQs

Program Basics

What does it cost to book with Four Seasons Preferred Partner?

Nothing. Your room or suite is the same price as the Room Rate on FourSeasons.com, and the benefits also apply to several promotional rates such as Advanced Purchase and Extra Nightly Resort Credit. Four Seasons pays my agency a commission on completed stays, which is why there is no fee and no markup to you.

Does every Four Seasons participate?

Yes, every Four Seasons hotel and resort in the world. There is no participating-property list to check, and nowhere the privileges don’t apply. That is a real difference from card programs like Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts and even Virtuoso, where not all properties participate.

Can Preferred Partner be combined with a promotional rate?

Yes, if it is a promotional rate offered by Four Seasons. The privileges apply to the standard Room Rate and several promotional rates like Advanced Purchase or Extra Nightly Resort Credit.

Does Four Seasons have a loyalty or rewards program?

Four Seasons doesn’t have a loyalty or rewards program where guests earn points or free nights. There is no Four Seasons points program to join. The closest thing to loyalty status is booking through Four Seasons Preferred Partner, which adds VIP recognition and benefits to every stay. You’ll still have a guest profile once you stay, and the property keeps detailed notes so each visit gets better than the last.

Comparisons

How does Preferred Partner compare to Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts, Chase, or booking direct?

I hold all of these cards myself, so here is the straight comparison. Every one books your room at the same rate. What changes is who is looking after your stay.

When it is the right choiceAlmost every Four Seasons stayOnly to use an Amex creditRarely worth it for Four SeasonsIf you prefer to handle it yourself, without the added benefits

Where a property can’t guarantee something like 4 PM checkout, an Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts booking can occasionally be the better fit. I’ll always tell you when that’s the case.

Fine Hotels & Resorts and Chase’s Luxury Hotel Collection can provide valuable benefits, but they operate like booking portals. There isn’t a dedicated advocate following your stay, and you’re handled by a call center or customer service team, not someone with a direct relationship with Four Seasons.

With Preferred Partner, your reservation is flagged VIP in the hotel system, and I work directly with on-property contacts to communicate your preferences in advance. That personal advocacy often makes the difference with upgrades, room placement, and special recognition. I know a lot of these people personally.

Think of it this way: Four Seasons Preferred Partner is Four Seasons’ VIP program. It’s natural for the brand to prioritize its own VIPs.

Can I keep my credit card points?

Yes. If you pay with your own American Express or Chase card through me, so you earn points and keep your card’s protections exactly as you would booking direct. The Preferred Partner benefits are added on top. You don’t give up one to get the other.

Booking Process

How do I book with you?

Share the property, your dates, travelers, and any preferences. I confirm your rate and privileges, secure the reservation directly with Four Seasons, and brief the property before you arrive.

Who charges my card, and is there a markup?

Four Seasons charges you directly, at the same rate as booking direct. We never mark up your rate.

Is there a Four Seasons Preferred Partner login or portal?

There is no login or portal you need as a guest. Preferred Partner is an advisor relationship, not an account you sign into. You send me your trip details, I book it, and you manage the reservation the usual way, including in the Four Seasons app. The Preferred Partner portal that advisors sign into is an internal Four Seasons system, not something clients use.

Will the hotel know about my benefits? Do I need to tell them?

When I book you in using Four Seasons Preferred Partner, the benefits automatically attach to the reservation. There is no need to remind the hotel. On top of this, I work with the hotel behind the scenes to confirm your reservation. I will ask you for your arrival details (the hotels prefer flight information), special occasions, names, and pass along any other special notes or requests.

What if I already have a Four Seasons reservation?

With your permission, I can usually add Four Seasons Preferred Partner benefits to existing reservations made on FourSeasons.com, via the Four Seasons app, or directly by phone with the hotel or resort.

If you made a reservation through a third party, you would need to cancel and rebook to get the benefits.

Stays & Personalization

Can you help with a celebration?

Yes. Tell me what you’re celebrating and we’ll coordinate with the resort to help make it special!

Can you request connecting rooms or a specific room?

Yes. I note your room and bedding preferences with the property ahead of arrival. We can usually guarantee connecting rooms and suites.

Special Use Cases

Do Preferred Partner benefits apply to the Private Jet, Yachts, or Private Retreats?

Yes to Yachts and Private Retreats. Four Seasons Yachts in particular can carry excellent Preferred Partner benefits, though they vary by sailing, and Private Retreats include them too. The Private Jet is the one exception: it’s all-inclusive, so there aren’t separate amenities to layer on. What you get there is personal coordination and more dialed-in connections.

Can you book group trips?

Yes. Group stays can work differently from a single reservation, so send me the details and I’ll advise.

Choosing a Property & Timing

Which Four Seasons should I choose?

It depends on who’s traveling and what you want from the trip. I’ve stayed at and reviewed them all over the world, so start with my reviews above or just ask me.

Is it better to book direct or through you?

It’s the same rate either way; however, through me, the same reservation also carries the Preferred Partner privileges, access to occasional Preferred Partner-only offers, and a person who knows the property.

Wherever you’re headed next, let me know how I can help you pick the right Four Seasons.
