If you’re headed out to dinner in La Jolla on a weekday, why not score yourself a bargain on the wine? Several La Jolla restaurants feature Wine Wednesday or similar deals. Here is a list of current restaurants in La Jolla with these wine deals, in alphabetical order. However, it always pays to call before you go to be sure any specials are still available.
Beaumont’s
This Bird Rock restaurant is popular with locals. You can sit anywhere in the restaurant (main dining room, covered patio, or bar) to enjoy any specials I like. On Wednesdays from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m., Beaumont’s offers $10 off any bottle of wine.
Isola Pizza Bar
This casual pizza restaurant on Girard in La Jolla offers 50% off bottles of wine on Wednesdays. It’s also nice to pair this with one of their wood-fired pizzas, which we’ve seen on the happy hour menu. Happy hour a quick hour between 4 – 5 p.m. on weekdays.
Nautilus Tavern
Go to Nautilus Tavern, a neighborhood bar and grill located in Windansea, for forward-thinking cocktails, 30 beers on tap, and Wine Wednesday, which features half-off bottles of wine and a Date Night Special for two. Also popular are the scratch-made burgers and wings.
Nine-Ten (Top Pick)
NINE-TEN is one of San Diego’s best restaurants. It’s located inside the Grande Colonial Hotel. The entire seasonal menu is delicious, and features produce from local artisan farmers. Wednesday is the day to visit NINE-TEN for 1/2 Price Wine Day.
Guests may enjoy any bottle of wine from the extensive Wine Spectator Award-winning list at lunch or dinner. This is your chance to try that bucket list bottle or simply pair something epic with the famous short ribs or half-baked chocolate cake.

Osteria Romantica
This La Jolla Shores restaurant is running a special where walk-in customers get 30% off all wine.
We like to sit on the patio here when the weather is nice. Osteria Romantica does a nice job with larger parties and will reserve the entire. Heat lamps warm the space if it’s chilly. I like the lasagne and capellini.
Queenstown Village
This casual New Zealand inspired public house restaurant on Wall St. in La Jolla offers 50% off bottles of wine on Wednesdays.
Tip: The wine prices outside this promotion are good with barely any markup!
The Shack Bar & Grill
This family- and dog-friendly bar and grill on La Jolla Boulevard is a great place to watch sports and grab a burger. It also offers $5 glasses of wine and $15 bottles on Wednesdays (“on ALL wine and champagne”).
It’s kind of like a dive bar, but we’ve met friends here following activities at the high school. They do have an okay wine list and pour heavily.
We Olive & Wine Bar
On Prospect in the heart of downtown La Jolla, above La Jolla Cove, We Olive & Wine Bar features artisanal wines, craft beers, and olive oil-inspired tapas. It is also a retail outlet for fantastic oils and vinegar bottles that you may taste.
Staff will help you to select flavors for the ideal seasonings and dressings. I love stopping here and sipping wine on their small ocean view patio. On Wednesdays, their wine bar offers $7 off any bottle of wine all day until closing at 9 p.m.
Wheat & Water
This La Jolla Boulevard restaurant features wood-fired pizzas and, on Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., offers $12 off any bottle of wine with the purchase of a pizza. I also recommend the brussels sprouts and burger.
