At Montage Laguna Beach, you can choose from three levels of accommodations. All include the resort’s signature views, 280-degree panoramic seascapes, plus a pampered feeling of luxury and elegance. If you’re interested in a suite or villa, the Montage Laguna Beach has many options that can comfortably accommodate larger families and parties. 

Every room, suite, and villa at the resort is meticulously designed to capture the relaxed feel of coastal California living. Many of the hotel’s accommodations are designed with ADA amenities in mind for every guest’s comfort and pleasure. 

Guestrooms at Montage Laguna Beach 

Every guestroom at Montage Laguna Beach is designed with a contemporary vision that captures the relaxing feel of California coastal living.

No matter which guestroom accommodation you choose, you’ll enjoy 280-degree ocean views from a room that features rich brass and wood accents alongside a palette of soft whites and deep blues. They all have private patios or balconies. Rooms accommodate two to four guests.

Expect marble bathrooms, feather-top beds with 400-thread count linens, 100% goose down pillows, and private outdoor space. Guest rooms are all the same size at 500 square feet but it’s the view type that differentiates them. A sofa bed or rollaway bed is available in select rooms on a request basis.

Ocean Horizon 

Ocean Horizon provides beautiful views of the ocean meeting the horizon and some garden views. These king or double queen guestrooms provide 500 square feet of luxurious living and sleeping space, and an elegant marble bathroom.

Ocean Coastal

Ocean Coastal rooms have spectacular shoreline views (where you can see tide pools when the tides are low) that offer a sense of peace and relaxation.

Ocean Surf

Ocean Surf accommodations are the most-requested rooms in Montage’s guest room category. They’re closest to the beach with the best views that can include waves breaking on the sand.

Montage Laguna Beach Suites

Many of the suites at Montage Laguna Beach are great for families, groups, and entertaining which is why the resort offers a variety of suite options to choose from. 

They can include large dining areas, full-service kitchens, and amazing outdoor spaces with unbelievable views of the ocean. Each suite provides you with at least one marble bathroom with a large soaking tub for relaxing and unwinding. Upgraded amenities include luxurious candles and bath products.

Ocean Horizon, Ocean Coastal and Ocean Surf Suites

These entry-level, one-bedroom suites boast 900 to 1,000 square feet and can sleep up to five people with the addition of a rollaway bed or crib. They have a lovely foyer with half bath, plus a separate bedroom with walk-in closets and an oversized luxury marble bathroom. You can enjoy breathtaking views from your large private deck or patio.

Like the similarly-named guestrooms above, what differentiates these suites is the view type. Ocean Horizon Suites offer view of the ocean meeting the horizon, Ocean Coastal Suites showcase the shoreline, and Ocean Surf Suites offer the most dramatic and preferred views of waves meeting the sand.

Bungalow Suite

This suite is approximately 1,000 square feet of elegance that features a gas fireplace and marble bathrooms. The Bungalow Suite is optimal for big families or reunion events, because up to four of these suites can be combined to form a larger connected space. A single Bungalow Suite can accommodate five guests with an optional queen size sleeper sofa. 

Aliso Suite

If you’re looking to get away from it all, the Aliso suite provides unrivaled privacy. This one-of-a-kind premier suite is tucked away on the property, so that you get the most relaxing experience possible. At 1,200 square feet, the suite boasts stunning open ocean views and luxurious marble bathrooms with oversized soaking tubs.

Sunset Suite 

Sunset Suite lives up to its name with the best sunset views on the property. This premier suite has 1,400 square feet of luxury that includes a central living space, parlor, dining room, master bathroom, and private outdoor space. It has the option of connecting up to three bedrooms. 

Founder’s Suite 

The Founder’s Suite features two prized amenities – space and privacy. You’ll experience 2,285 feet of luxurious space with the best unobstructed Pacific Ocean views the resort has to offer. A large private patio, private lawn, and spacious dining area provide gathering places for large groups, or plenty of private space for guests who enjoy solitude.

Catalina Suite

The Catalina Suite is a 2,800-square-foot beachside palace with Pacific Ocean views. This premier two-bedroom suite provides a two-sided fireplace, dining for eight, butler’s kitchen, and two bedrooms with dressing areas. His and her bathrooms feature deep soaking tubs and separate showers. There are 3.5 baths total. The expansive 700-square-foot balcony is accessed by floor-to-ceiling glass parlor doors.

Villas at Montage Laguna Beach 

The villas at Montage Laguna Beach take luxury and comfort to a new level. You can experience the comforts of home while indulging in spectacular views and upscale amenities. All villas feature spacious indoor and outdoor living areas, so you never have to be out of sight of the Pacific. There are four villas with three bedrooms and 3000 square feet of space filled with designer appliances private patios and plenty of space to entertain.

Studio

The Loft is host to events like the Daou Vineyards Wine Dinner, which features wines by the Dauo brothers paired with a custom five-course dinner, and a weekly weekend brunch that combines traditional brunch favorites with California fare. They also have an interactive cheese bar with a cheese concierge!

Mosaic Bar and Grille

Sample local fare while relaxing poolside at Mosaic Bar and Grille. If you love the sun, but not the sand, the Montage Laguna Beach Mosaic Pool is the resort amenity for you. Enjoy cuisine and beverages poolside from The Mosaic Bar.

There is also a hot tub, children’s pool, and children’s play area. Cabanas with dedicated hosts and complimentary Evian and Pellegrino are available for rent. 

Spa Montage Laguna Beach

You can, and I have, spend the entire day enjoying the spa facilities. Do plan enough time to enjoy them around your spa treatment.

Spa Montage Laguna Beach offers luxurious facial therapies, body treatments, and massages in either indoor or outdoor treatment rooms. There are separate men’s and women’s lounging facilities that include marble steam rooms, saunas, and relaxation rooms.

Lots of Activities for Kids

My daughter has been to Paintbox kids’ clubs and has loved them so much that I had trouble getting her to leave. This kids’ programming is a big reason why families choose this Orange County resort over others.

The Montage Merits program turns young guests into Pacific Explorers. Kids collect 12 different Montage Merit Badges for accomplishments ranging from riding the local trolley to building a sandcastle. Upon completing all 12 activities, they earn the status of Pacific Explorer, commemorated with an oversized Pirate Pin. 

Guests 5 to 12 years old will love Paintbox, the resort’s activity-based program for children. Young guests enjoy planned adventures at the pool, tide pool, beach, and events lawn. Kids receive drawstring souvenir bags from their adventures.

Paintbox Petite is for ages 2-5 on an hourly basis.

The Laguna Beach Neighborhood

Montage Laguna Beach is surrounded by neighborhoods that are host to art, culture, and upscale dining options. Even Catalina Island is just a ferry ride away from nearby Dana Point where you can experience everything that the island has to offer from hiking along the coast to exploring the sea during a scuba diving lesson. 

Other neighborhood attractions include biking, hiking, kayaking, jet skiing, standup paddleboarding, sailing, and sportfishing. There are also numerous golf courses and tennis courts nearby.

Art, culture, and history are prominent features of the Laguna Beach community. Laguna Beach hosts many art festivals throughout the year, including the Sawdust Festival, Art-A-Fair Festival, and the Pageant of the Masters Festival in July and August. Because Laguna Beach is a thriving artists’ colony, the area contains more than 90 unique art galleries. Laguna Beach is also home to the Laguna Art Museum, which is the oldest cultural installation in Orange County.
