It’s definitely one of the biggest nights of the year, no matter where you live, but New Year’s Eve in San Diego means special menus and events at local restaurants and hotel parties. Here’s some of what has crossed my inbox, and we’ll do our best to keep it updated as new events get released.
Many places haven’t announced this year’s plans yet. Where we know what they did last year, we’ve included it so you know what to expect.
New Year’s Eve Parties at San Diego Hotels
Leave it to hotels in San Diego to provide guests and residents with multiple ways to ring in the new year.
Hotel del Coronado
Location: Coronado
This year: The Del‘s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve Party is set for December 31 inside The Laundry, the resort’s historic and restored laundry building. The party includes:
- A live band playing rock ’n’ roll and blues
- A full open bar
- Tray-passed bites
- A dessert bar
It’s for ages 21 and up, and The Del says tickets will be available soon on its event page.
Serẽa Coastal Cuisine is The Del’s oceanfront Mediterranean restaurant, focused on fresh seafood and seasonal ingredients. It hasn’t announced a New Year’s Eve dinner yet, but with beautiful beachside views, it is a perfect place to watch the sun go down on 2026.

Pendry San Diego
Location: Gaslamp Quarter
Pendry San Diego posts holiday events on its Seasonal Happenings page.
This year: Not announced yet.
Last year: The hotel hosted three New Year’s Eve events.
- Fifth & Rose – Craft cocktails, small bites, music, and a confetti countdown. Bar seats were first come, first served, and tables took reservations.
- Lionfish – A five-course prix fixe dinner at the hotel’s seafood and sushi restaurant, with a limited à la carte menu at the bar and lounge for a more casual night.
- A late-night party – A DJ, cocktails, and champagne to ring in the new year.
Rancho Bernardo Inn
Location: Rancho Bernardo
Ring in the New Year tucked away in quintessential North County San Diego at Rancho Bernardo Inn.
This year: The inn has announced two New Year’s Eve dining options on its Happenings page.
- AVANT – A four-course New Year’s Eve dinner at the inn’s signature restaurant, which the inn lists as kid friendly.
- Veranda – A New Year’s surf and turf special pairing steak and fresh seafood, served from lunch through dinner.
Last year: The inn also hosted a New Year’s Eve soirée and sold a stay package. Neither is posted for this year yet.
- The soirée – Appetizers, passed hors d’oeuvres, an all-inclusive full bar, live entertainment, and a midnight balloon drop.
- A stay package – An overnight stay with two tickets to the soirée.
Alila Marea Beach Resort Encinitas
Location: Encinitas
At Alila Marea Beach Resort Encinitas, the restaurant VAGA lists special events on its events page.
This year: Not announced yet.
Manchester Grand Hyatt
Location: Downtown San Diego
This year: We haven’t seen New Year’s Eve plans from the bayfront Manchester Grand Hyatt yet.
TOWER23 Hotel
Location: Pacific Beach
This year: Not announced yet. Check its events calendar.
Last year: JRDN, the hotel’s restaurant, was the center of the night.
- The party – A DJ, a midnight toast, and a ball drop on the Tower Deck, weather permitting.
- Dinner – A reservation for JRDN’s three-course New Year’s Eve dinner included entry to the party.
- Hotel stays – Guests staying that night received two party tickets, a welcome bottle of sparkling wine, party favors, and midnight snacks.
Europa Village
Location: Temecula
Europa Village is a winery resort in Southern California’s Temecula Wine Country, and The Inn at Europa Village is one of our favorite Temecula hotels.
This year: Not announced yet. Check its events calendar.
Last year: The resort hosted Old Hollywood Glam, a black-tie party for ages 21 and up at its Vienza winery. The night included:
- A red carpet
- A cocktail hour
- A three-course plated dinner
- Dancing
- A midnight champagne toast
NYE Dinners at San Diego Restaurants
As restaurants announce their plans, make reservations for set menus and tons of festive fun around the county.
Bleu Bohème
Location: Kensington
Bleu Bohème serves traditional French fare with Southern California influences.

Last year: The restaurant served a New Year’s Eve menu.
Mezé Greek Fusion
Location: Gaslamp Quarter
Mezé Greek Fusion serves Greek small plates and entrées, and it has offered a New Year’s Eve menu in past years.

Havana 1920
Location: Gaslamp Quarter
Havana 1920 serves Cuban cuisine and cocktails.
This year: Not announced yet.
Prohibition
Location: Gaslamp Quarter
Prohibition is an underground speakeasy.

El Chingon
Location: Gaslamp Quarter
El Chingon calls itself the Gaslamp Quarter’s “Bad Ass Mexican” restaurant.

Temaki Bar serves hand rolls and sushi in downtown Encinitas.

Little Frenchie

One of our favorite Coronado restaurants, Little Frenchie is a French bistro modeled after Parisian neighborhood cafés.
