Hotel Marisol Guest Rooms and Suites
The spot that you choose to lay your head at night will have an impact on how much energy you have to enjoy the many fun things to do in Coronado during the day. Here’s an overview of the various rooms available — of which there are 15 in total.
All offer soft Italian bed linens on pillow top beds in addition to a small refrigerator stocked with bottled water. There is also an in-room Keurig with complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.
Junior Suite
There are four junior suites available, all decorated with the same subtle colors and whimsical style. The king-sized bed and sofa couch offers the perfect spread for relaxation and perhaps even a bit of romance.
The junior suite rooms all have fully-stocked bathrooms with oversized showers and air bathtubs (small jets blow air into the water) for your convenience. Sit back and relax on your easy chair and enjoy the streams of light that filter through the plantation shutters. Families tend to choose the junior suite as it’s the only accommodation that sleeps up to four people.
Deluxe King Room
By far the most popular room choice in the Marisol Hotel, Coronado, the deluxe king rooms are found on all three floors of the building, giving you the option to choose your view. The king-size bed provides the ultimate comfort for two guests, and the room also has a built-in desk as an added benefit.
The deluxe king room also features a fully-stocked bathroom, an armchair for afternoon reading, and other added perks such as a television and a small refrigerator. The decor of the stylish room adds to the fresh atmosphere and encourages a rejuvenating stay.
Queen Room
There are only two queen rooms in the hotel, both of which include an easy chair, a built-in desk, a fully-stocked bathroom, and other standard amenities to add to your level of comfort.
The room is perfect for two guests to sleep peacefully each night on the queen-sized bed. Although a little bit smaller in size than the deluxe king room, the queen room is decorated in the same subtle colors and stylish design.
ADA Accessible King Room
The hotel dedicates a king room to meet the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This allows those with disabilities to enjoy the same comforts and amenities that are promised in other rooms.
The 300 sq ft room is accessible for guests in wheelchairs, giving them the same serene experience as others who visit.
Dining at Hotel Marisol Coronado
Hotel Marisol doesn’t offer any on-site restaurants. However, the hotel does offer a tantalizing breakfast spread to energize you and kickstart your day and is within walking distance to fantastic dining.
Breakfast at Hotel Marisol
All guests are invited to indulge at the complimentary daily breakfast that is served in the living room from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Fill your plate with the likes of fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, boiled eggs, and delectable pastries.
You can also get an extra dose of Vitamin D with your breakfast if you choose to enjoy your meal in the sunny garden courtyard.
Nearby Dining Options
There are plenty of great places to eat in Coronado, many of which serve a mouthwatering breakfast. The hotel recommends the following tasty breakfast spots that are close to the hotel.
- Miguel’s Cocina — for a hearty breakfast or brunch (we like the cheese dip).
- Leroy’s Kitchen and Lounge — boasts a fresh farm-to-table menu with a great burger and craft beer.
- Café 1134 — open from 6 a.m. for early risers.
- Night and Day Café — serves breakfast at any time of the day or night.
Amenities at Hotel Marisol Coronado
The ideal location of Hotel Marisol is enough to sell the hotel’s desirability. But if you need an extra nudge, or a little bit more information, here are some of the other amenities available.
Outdoors
The hotel garden offers the perfect spot to relax with a book in hand or sip on your morning coffee. The beach is also a stone’s throw away and can be considered an amenity of the hotel in its own right. It’s like staying in a beachfront San Diego hotel without paying beachfront pricing.
Yoga
Whether you’re an experienced yogi or looking for an additional way to unwind on your vacation, the hotel’s one-on-one yoga classes are a fantastic choice. Group classes with the certified yoga teacher are also available with a minimum of three guests.
Reservations for classes are required at least 24 hours in advance. A private or couples class costs $95, while the group class costs $20 per person.
Activities
The hotel is located on the fringe of the beach, so chances are that you won’t be spending much time indoors. However, the hotel does make your leisure activities more enjoyable by offering bikes available for free use, as well as beach towels and chairs.
Beach Access
The beautiful beaches on Coronado Island attract countless visitors every year, and the Hotel Marisol offers direct access to the most popular of them all — Coronado Central Beach in front of Hotel del Coronado.
Added Comfort and Convenience
Each of the rooms is equipped with luxury amenities to make your stay more comfortable and convenient. These amenities include lightning-fast WiFi, air conditioning, heating, a safe, a television, and fine Italian linen.
Services
Hotel Marisol prides itself on offering unparalleled hospitality, and this extends into their guaranteed services. You can expect daily housekeeping, a concierge, and 24-hour front desk assistance all delivered with a smile.
Explore the Coronado Island Neighborhood
Hotel Marisol is a fantastic spot to stay in Coronado Island, providing a comfortable and relaxing place to come back to at the end of a busy day exploring the area. Speaking of which…
There are plenty of exciting and memorable Coronado activities to enjoy, many of which are water-based.
Rent a SUP (stand up paddle) board and test your balance by hopping onto a board and venturing off on an ocean adventure.
If you prefer enjoying the ocean from a seated position, then you can rent a kayak and glide along the water. This is a great way to view the area from a different perspective.
Finally, if you’d rather not exert energy while on the water, then you can jump on board a powerboat and motor around the bay. This is a fantastic way to bask in the sun and potentially encounter some marine life.
You’ll also no doubt enjoy being a short walk of Orange Avenue, Coronado’s main shopping and dining district. You also need not be an overnight guest to shop, dine, and tour the historic Hotel del Coronado.
Regardless of which fun activities you choose to indulge in, you’ll be able to return to your soft, Italian linen each night. Hotel Marisol Coronado has been serving travelers since 1927 and looks forward to welcoming you.
