If you’ve visited this page before, you might remember when I had a secret deal on discount Kings Island tickets. The price was so good that people still ask me about it today. We help families save money on theme park tickets and vacations across the United States, and this is one of the parks we’ve tracked closely for years.
That deal went away when Cedar Fair and Six Flags merged in 2024, cutting off third-party ticket sellers and wiping out the cheap options that used to be everywhere.
That’s starting to change. Sellers are coming back into the market, and based on our volume and the relationships we’ve built, I have a feeling something good is coming for readers here. I don’t have the details yet, but I’ll update this the moment I do.
Kings Island Ticket Gate Prices
Gate price is $90 per person for ages 3 and up. Children 2 and under are always free.
A Kings Island ticket includes access to Soak City Water Park on days it’s open, which operates for a shorter season than the main park. Whatever you do, look for a better price before you walk up to that window.

1. Discount Kings Island Tickets Through Tiqets
Right now, Tiqets has Kings Island tickets from $49 per person with no processing fee and no membership required. That’s $41 off the gate price. Tickets cover Soak City when it’s open and are good for any day the park is operating.

2. Kings Island Direct Online
Kings Island sells tickets directly through the Six Flags website using dynamic pricing, so costs go up on days the park expects bigger crowds. The base price starts at $45, but there’s a $9.99 processing fee per transaction (not per ticket). Here’s how the math works out:
- 1 ticket: $54.99
- 2 tickets: $64.99
- 3 tickets: $74.99
- 4 tickets: $84.99
Buying direct only makes sense for groups of three or more on a single transaction, where the flat fee gets spread across enough tickets to beat Tiqets. For one or two people, Tiqets wins. Check current prices on Six Flags.
3. Season Passes
If you’re visiting more than once this year, a season pass pays for itself quickly. Kings Island offers three tiers for 2026:
- Silver Pass ($110): Unlimited access to Kings Island and Soak City through Labor Day, plus free general parking.
- Gold Pass ($145): Everything in Silver, plus Haunt, Winterfest, and access to Six Flags Midwest parks, including Cedar Point.
- Prestige Pass ($275): All Six Flags parks in North America, preferred parking, two bring-a-friend tickets annually, and 15% off food and merchandise.

4. Groupon Kings Island Tickets
There isn’t a Groupon deal for Kings Island at the moment, but Six Flags has run them in the past and likely will again. It’s worth checking before you buy, especially if you’re flexible on timing. We’ll add the link here as soon as one shows up.
5. Membership Discounts
Sam’s Club has had Kings Island tickets at $45.95 with no additional fees, which beats Tiqets if you’re already a member. Check your app for the current price before you buy since it can change.
FunEx and other employer-sponsored perks programs (Tickets at Work, Working Advantage) offer tickets for around $37, the lowest price you’ll find, but you need your employer to be enrolled. Check your HR or benefits portal to see if you’re enrolled.
6. Military and First Responder Discounts
Active military, veterans, and first responders can access discounted Kings Island tickets through the park website via ID.me verification. Active military typically receive free admission during Memorial Day weekend. These discounts don’t usually apply to Haunt or Winterfest. Check current military offers.
7. Meijer and Kroger
Some Meijer and Kroger stores in Ohio sell discounted Kings Island tickets at the customer service counter. These are in-store only, availability has been inconsistent since the merger, and readers tell us they’re harder to find lately. Worth asking if you’re already shopping there, but not worth a special trip.
8. AAA Kings Island Tickets
AAA members in Midwest states can often get discounted tickets through their local office. This is not available through California AAA. Call your local office to confirm before you go.
9. Costco
Costco occasionally carries theme park ticket packages, but Kings Island availability varies by warehouse location and isn’t consistent. Worth checking if you have a membership, but don’t count on it.
10. Group Discounts
Groups of 15 or more receive one free admission for every 15 tickets purchased. Groups of 100 or more get even better pricing. Details are on the park’s group tickets page.
Kings Island Tickets and Hotel Packages
We haven’t found bundled ticket-and-hotel packages at this time. Expedia has a Kings Island vacation page where you can browse nearby hotels, which is useful if you’re combining the visit with a trip to Cedar Point in Sandusky or exploring the Cincinnati area.

Fast Lane
The biggest upgrade worth considering during peak season is Fast Lane. A daily Fast Lane pass starts at $89 and lets you bypass the regular queue on participating rides and attractions. For frequent visitors, All Season Fast Lane ($999) covers unlimited Fast Lane access on every visit in 2026.
Chaperone Policy
Guests 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult 21 or older if they want to stay in the park after 4 p.m. Confirm current requirements before your visit since this is subject to change.
Check Kings Island Hours
Kings Island is seasonal. The park typically opens in spring and runs daily through Labor Day, then continues on select weekends into early November for Haunt and Winterfest. Soak City runs on a shorter season within that window. Check hours and operating dates before you go.
Always Read Ticket Terms and Conditions
Whatever ticket source you use, confirm expiration dates, blackout dates, refund policies, and whether your ticket type is valid on special event days before you buy.
