We can help you save on tickets, tours, and hotels. If you purchase through some of the links below, we may be compensated. Our editorial guidelines.

Valleyfair Amusement Park is a fantastic place to have fun with your whole family in the Minneapolis area. It features thrilling coasters, chilled-out kids’ rides, tasty treats, and an adjacent water park called Superior Shores, which was renamed from Soak City under the park’s new Enchanted Parks ownership.

We specialize in helping people find the best admission prices to theme parks across the United States. And while we sell discounted tickets, your situation may warrant a different way to purchase Valleyfair tickets.

So, we researched and listed every legitimate option that we could find, even those directly through the park. This way, you can avoid trying coupons, deals, and promo codes that don’t work.

Valleyfair is now part of the Enchanted Parks family, and its official site has moved to valleyfair.enchantedparks.com. Soak City Waterpark is now called Superior Shores Waterpark. We verified the prices below against the new site in August 2026.

Gate Prices for Valleyfair Tickets

Valleyfair’s own site currently lists gate pricing as follows:

  • From $64 (ages 3+) for a one-day ticket at the gate, plus taxes and fees
  • Ages 0-2 are free!

These prices can vary depending on the day, but they provide a helpful guideline for estimating the cost if purchasing at the gate. That said, hardly anyone pays gate prices because there are so many discounted ticket options available—even ones offered directly by the park!

Ages 15 and younger need to be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old to enter or remain in the park after 4 p.m. Read the full policy before you buy.

6. AAA Discount to Valleyfair, Minnesota

AAA members benefit from a vast variety of rewards. For example, AAA is one of the premier distributors of discounted amusement park tickets.

They have offered members discounted Valleyfair Amusement Park tickets, but you’ll need to check with your local office to be sure your membership qualifies under the new Enchanted Parks ownership. You can use these discounted tickets to access Superior Shores Waterpark, too.

7. Valleyfair Pre-K Pass

Valleyfair and Superior Shores Waterpark continue to welcome the littlest visitors with a free Pre-K Pass for children ages 3 to 5. Valleyfair is one of only two Enchanted Parks, along with Worlds of Fun, to keep the program.

To enroll a child, you must hold a 2026 Enchanted Hero or Legend Pass, or a Six Flags Gold or Prestige Pass purchased before April 6, 2026. Registration for the 2026 season closed on June 15, 2026, and required an in-person visit to Guest Services with the child and a birth certificate. Previously registered passes are honored all season, and the park FAQ will carry 2027 enrollment details.

8. Valleyfair Military Days

Valleyfair Amusement Park in Minnesota loves our vets. As a result, they’ve extended a helping hand to those who do a job that is, in their words, “greater than the self.”

In the past, they have offered special military days with discounted Valleyfair tickets, and military members have typically received FREE admission on Memorial Day weekend. This offer has usually applied to:

  • Active U.S. Military
  • Retired U.S. Military
  • Veterans
  • Reserves
  • National Guard

9. Ongoing Military Discounts

Similarly, military personnel can receive savings on Valleyfair tickets throughout the season. Active and retired military personnel, veterans, and first responders, plus their immediate family members, receive 10% off the online ticket price when buying single-day tickets at the gate.

To claim the discount, present a non-expired military ID, DD214, driver’s license with veteran designation, or a work ID or issued badge at the ticket booth. It cannot be combined with other offers; the details are on the military tickets page.

Valleyfair Ticket Upgrades

While all Valleyfair Amusement Park experiences are special, you can upgrade your tickets to make them even more memorable. Add-on options have changed under Enchanted Parks, so here is where each stands as of August 2026.

Drink & Dining Savings

Enchanted Parks does not offer dining plan programs, which is a change from the Cedar Fair and Six Flags years. The Family Fun Pack, which bundles admission with a combo meal and a refillable cup, is the current way to save on food, and cabana rentals include poolside food and beverage service for purchase.

Fast Lane Passes

Lines can get long on Valleyfair Amusement Park’s peak visiting days. Fast Lane is now a single All Day Fast Lane Pass at $60.98 ($59.99 plus a $0.99 fee), with pricing that can vary by date, and park admission is not included.

It covers priority access to select rides, including Corkscrew, Delirious, Renegade, Steel Venom, and Wild Thing, plus the Great Lake Launchers and Superior Plunge at Superior Shores Waterpark. Buy it online or in the park at Plaza Shopper and Sweet! near the entrance. We recommend this upgrade for trips planned during busy vacation times or special events.

Photo Pass

The All-Season Fun Foto Pass was a Cedar Fair and Six Flags add-on, and the new Enchanted Parks site does not currently list a photo pass for Valleyfair. If professional ride and park photos matter to your group, check with Guest Services for current options before your visit.

Cabanas

Relax and unwind while you splash at Superior Shores Waterpark. Take a break from the waves in a private cabana, which holds up to eight people and includes a semi-private covered area with seating and poolside food and beverage service (meals and drinks sold separately).

Standard Cabanas offer cushioned seating for 6 with access for up to 8, two chaise lounge chairs, a lockable safe, a ceiling fan, a beverage refrigerator, a TV, and poolside food and beverage service, with a weekday season passholder discount available.

Deluxe Cabanas add 8 bottles of water and 4 cabana towels. Premium Cabanas trade in cushioned seating for 4 plus dinette seating for 4 in a premier location, along with the water and towels. Park admission is sold separately for all tiers.

Rentals

Valleyfair and Superior Shores Waterpark are ADA-compliant, which means they offer several different rentals to guests with special needs.

They provide standard manual wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs, and wheelchairs with canopies to their guests. Single or double strollers can also be rented for the little ones in your travel group.

Important Tips for Visiting Valleyfair

A Ferris Wheel at Valleyfair

Valleyfair Amusement Park is fun for the whole family. You don’t have to be an epic thrill seeker to have a great time at this park.

Instead, they offer a range of high-intensity rides for adrenaline lovers and low-intensity adventures for more timid guests. Regardless of your amusement park experience, there are many things for you to do at Valleyfair Amusement Park and its Superior Shores Waterpark.

Popular rides at Valleyfair Amusement Park include Corkscrew, a high-intensity rollercoaster. This vibrant coaster features loops, twists, and turns to pump your heart rate. If you want to kick your thrills up a notch, the purple coaster Delirious will leave you feeling…well, delirious! This is also an upside-down coaster that isn’t for the faint of heart.

For a calmer experience, you can check out the Ferris Wheel, which offers incredible views of Minneapolis. They have other classics, like a carousel and bumper cars, too!

Water Slides

Over at its sister, Superior Shores Waterpark, headline attractions include the Great Lake Launchers and the Superior Plunge, and there are calmer spots for a good soak without the screams from the big slides. Plus, there is Peanuts theming throughout both parks. Be sure to snap a pic with Snoopy before you head home!

Special Events & Halloween

Valleyfair has hosted special events like the MonsterJam Thunder Alley show and Tricks and Treats for Halloween. The event lineup is being refreshed under Enchanted Parks, so check the park calendar before you go.

Tricks and Treats is a family-friendly event, so you shouldn’t expect scares as you’d find at Universal’s annual Halloween Horror Nights. Instead, you can explore the Land of Tricks, complete with a comedy show, live band, and game show.

Then, you can head to the Land of Treats, with exclusive, limited-time treats that are just to die for. Tricks and Treats hopes to include the whole family, even the faint-hearted, in its haunts.

Live Shows

Planet Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang meet and greets continue under the new ownership, so kids can still spend time with their favorite Peanuts characters. Live show lineups change from season to season, so check the park’s live entertainment schedule when planning your day.

Dining

Like other former Cedar Fair parks, Valleyfair Amusement Park and Superior Shores Waterpark offer many dining options. You can expect to find your favorite amusement park staples, like hot dogs and pizza.

However, standouts include Fryer Tuck’s Home Made French Fries and Midway Fudge & Taffy. Check each restaurant’s menu for dietary restrictions and allergy information.
